Local Cage Fighter in Welterweight Title Bout
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Coltin Cole of Du Quoin will be heading to Murray , Ky. Saturday, Dec. 19 to compete for the HB Dick Promotions Cage Fighting Welterweight Title.
The event will be held in the National Guard Amory in Murray.
Doors open at 6:00 and the fights will start at 7 p.m.
Cole, who is a 2007 graduate of Du Quoin High school , started his training at Longshores Tae Kwon Do located in Du Quoin.
Cole has quicly become one of the regions most feared stand up fighters in the welterweight division.
Cole accredits his impressive stand up to years of boxing with his dad, Dennis Cole, who once trained boxers at the Boys Club in Du Quoin and for Longshores Tae Kwon Do.
Known for his lightening fast head kicks and spining back kicks, Cole moved his training to UFC superstar Matt Hughes Hit Squad in Granite City earlier this year.
Also in 2009, Cole made his MMA (mixed martial arts)debut for the Fight Factory.Cole won his first cage fight in :35 of the first round with a submission move called the rear naked choke.
Not only did Cole prove to the promoter that he was worthy of being on his card and fighting in his cage he won the crowd over with his quick victory over Eric Henson, who was introduced as having over twenty fights.
Cole has since competed in Illinois and Kentucky in the fast growing sport of Cage Fighting.
When not fighting in front of crowds of over 1000 people in attendance he prepares for his next opponent at the Hit Squad.
Having been there almost a year training under Matt Hughes, Cole has impressed Hughes and his trainers so much that they have sponsored his training free of charge.
Cole was also one of the teammates picked to help get UFC new comer Brian Foster and UFC fighter Matt Veach ready for there last UFC fights.
Now after a couple years of intense training and discipline Cole will get a chance to wear a championship belt himself.
He will make the trip to Murray on Saturday for his Main event title fight against the very strong very tough and unpredictable Chad Snider of Tennessee.
Coles game plan consist of the competitive Indian spirit, Longshores kicks and Matt Hughes slams as he will try and bring the HBD Welterweight Championship of Kentucky home to Du Quoin.
