Two Arrested for Meth Making
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[On Thursday January 14 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Perry County deputies went to the Herman Sims residence located at 4543 Private Rd 20 north of Pinckneyville. Deputies were conducting a welfare check on a Bambi Stell, also of Pinckneyville, whom had been missing for some time.
Upon arriving at the Sims residence, deputies discovered an operating meth lab at the residence, according to Perry County Sheriff Keith Kellerman.
Additional deputies and investigators with the Perry County Sheriff's office were summoned to assist.
Arrested were:
Herman Sims (30) Pinckneyville was charged with participation in meth manufacturing, a Class 1 felony. Sims was incarcerated in the Perry County Jail.
Bambi Stell (32) Pinckneyville was charged with participation in meth manufacturing, a Class 1 felony. Stell was incarcerated in the Perry County Jail.
Additional charges of possession of anhydrous ammonia with the intent to manufacture meth (Class I felony), possession of anhydrous ammonia in unauthorized container (Class III felony), delivery or possession with intent to deliver meth (Class II felony) and possession of meth (Class III felony) will be forthcoming as the investigation continues. Charges may be enhanced due to the location being near a church.
Illinois State Police assisted the sheriff's office with the cleanup of the meth lab.
An investigation is continuing.
