Boys Frosh Basketball: Du Quoin keeps record perfect
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Du Quoin and Murphysboro will decide the championship of the Pinckneyville Freshman Invitational Tournament Thursday night, following Monday's semifinal round.
Du Quoin, 12-0, stayed undefeated with a 55-47 win over Nashville while Murphysboro ousted host Pinckneyville in overtime, 54-48.
The final game is at 8 p.m. Thursday with Nashville and Pinckneyville battling for third place in the 6:30 contest.
Deeja Cole scored 13 points and was one of three young Indians scoring in double figures against Nashville.
Austin Mansker added 12 points and Nate Boss 10.
Daulton Beltz and Dalton Donoghue both scored eight as Du Quoin pulled away with a 19-9 third quarter advantage.
Pinckneyville and Murphysboro were knotted at 42-42 before the Red Devils finished the overtime with a 12-6 edge.
