Genevieve J. Wiehn

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Genevieve J. Wiehn, age 82, of Du Quoin, Ill., formerly of Connecticut, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 at 10:42 a.m. in her home.

Genevieve was born on February 1, 1927 in New Britain, Conn. On March 17, 1973, she married Isador J. Wiehn in Rockville, Conn. and he preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1976. In her lifetime, she had worked in Connecticut as a nurses' aid as well as in laundry services for the Hilton Hotels. She then moved to Du Quoin, Ill. in the 1970's and she cleaned for the Elks Club for several years.

Survivors include her dear friend, Mary North of Du Quoin, Ill.; and many other friends, especially at Du Quoin Gold Plate.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Private funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Du Quoin Gold Plate Program.
