Boys Prep Basketball: Fighting Falcons soar past Webber

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kyle Kempfer tossed in a game, season and career best 30 points Tuesday night, lifting Elverado High School's boys basketball team to its second win of the season.

The Fighting Falcons blasted visiting Webber Township 68-35 in Piper-Valerius Gymnasium, outscoring the Trojans 21-8 and 20-8 in the first and third quarters.

Elverado is 2-19 and hosts Joppa-Maple Grove Thursday night.

Kempfer's 30-point game included six three-point baskets and was complimented nicely by freshman Jake Lipe's 11 points.

Elverado doubled-up Webber, 36-18, in the opening half en route to its lopsided win.

Landry Arnett added nine points for Elverado.
