Mary T. Wright

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary T. Wright, age 98, of Rice, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 3:40 p.m. in Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, Ill.

Mary was born on Dec. 18, 1911 in Rice, Ill, a daughter to Valentine and Rose (Stern) Degenhardt. On July 3, 1930, she married Earl E. Wright at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todds Mill, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1987. Mary was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todds Mill, Ill. She loved being outdoors and was happiest when she was working in her garden, taking care of her cows and chickens, or spending time with her family who she dearly loved.

Survivors include a daughter, Gertrude "Sis" Ruppert of Pinckneyville, Ill.; daughter-in-law, Frances Schrum Wright; seven grandchildren, Lavonne (Stan) Morris, Father Alan Ruppert, Michael (Sandy) Wright, Sharon (Cletus) Suemnicht, Elaine Heard, Caroline (Don, Jr.) Hill, and Jeffrey Ruppert; three sisters-in-law, Ethel McCune, Lydia Bird and Rose Degenhardt; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Leo Wright; son-in-law, Elmer C. Ruppert; two granddaughters, Judy Ruppert and Nina Ruppert; two brothers, Joseph Degenhardt and Bernard Degenhardt; and two sisters, Cornelia Bruns and Gertrude Glenn.

Funeral mass was held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todds Mill, Ill. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Bernard Goedde officiating. Interment was in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery, Todds Mill, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A Prayer Service was held on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
