Pearl Louise Danbury

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pearl Louise Danbury, age 87, of Du Quoin, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Carbondale, Ill.

Pearl was born on Feb. 3, 1923 in Nebraska City, Neb., a daughter to Robert and Ruth (Toler) Thorpe. On May 4, 1940, she married Bernard Danbury in Cape Girardeau, Mo. and he passed away on April 15, 1996 after over 55 years of marriage. She was a charter member of the Spirit of Life Church, Du Quoin, Ill., where she also was a member of the Women's Fellowship. Pearl especially loved taking care of her family.

Survivors include her son, Ron (Kay) Danbury of Tamaroa, Ill.; two daughters, Nancy (Darrel) Wolfe of Williford, Ark. and Caroline (Steve) Logan of Du Quoin, Ill.; two brothers, Darrell (Wanda) Thorpe of Du Quoin, Ill.; and Marshall Thorpe and friend Kim of Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Barbara Harsy of Du Quoin, Ill. and Mary Dodson of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter, Robin Jean Danbury; and two brothers, Charles Thorpe and Robert Don Thorpe.

Funeral services were held in the Spirit of Life Church, Du Quoin, Ill. on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Gerald Wright officiating. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park, Du Quoin, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the Spirit of Life Church, Du Quoin, Ill. from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
