Baldwin's mayor quits
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Mayor of Baldwin has up and quit, after eleven months on the job.
Saturday, March 6, Village President James Quick, resigned his position citing personal differences, which he did not explain.
Quick was elected last April. Quick said he enjoyed being mayor and felt he'd accomplished "quite a bit," but due to personal differences, felt nothing else could be accomplished.
Since his resignation, Quick has been unavailable for further comment. No one at the village hall would comment on the matter, either. The village board of commissioners will have to appoint someone to fill the vacancy on a temporary basis.
