</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[With the approaching severe weather season the Village of Steeleville would like to remind its citizens of the storm warning procedures.

The Village of Steeleville will activate the storm warning sirens and issue a Connect-CTY phone message warning when the National Weather Service issues a tornado warning for the Village of Steeleville and the immediate surrounding area. The warnings will also be issued upon the confirmed sighting of a funnel cloud or active rotation in a severe thunderstorm that is approaching the village. A 'confirmed sighting' is a sighting that is observed by a law enforcement officer or trained weather spotter.

No 'all clear' sounding will be used.

Citizens are urged to monitor television and radio stations for updates of any severe weather.

If you have any questions regarding the storm warning procedures, please contact the village hall.
