The Panthers, 0-2, are scheduled to play at Hamilton County Wednesday.

"The game boiled down to okawville scoring 3 times on the 5 walks we gave them, two of which were aided around the bases in a passed ball and an error," Panthers coach Alan Engelhardt said. "We also fell into the trap of giving up the big inning, giving up 4 in the 4th.

Offensively, we struck out 9 times again for the second straight game. It is very difficult to win when you aren't putting the ball into play. "

Drew Dudek doubled, homered and had three RBI to pace Pinckneyville's offense. Matthew Nichols and Landon Chandler added two hits apiece as the Panthers out-hit Okawville 11-4.

Bryant Shute (0-1) took the mound loss, pitching into the fourth inning.

C.J. Opp finished up.
