</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Fritz L. Eggemeyer, 99, of Walsh, IL, died March 20, 2010 at Chester Memorial Hospital, Chester, IL.

The son of Eddie and Minnie (Hapke) Eggemeyer, he was born February 25, 1911 at Walsh, IL.

On September 9, 1933, he married Adeline D. Eggemeyer at Chester, IL, and she preceded him in death in 2006.

Fritz was a retired farmer and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Walsh, IL.

Survivors include eight children-Calvin (Earline) Eggemeyer of Steeleville, IL, Virgil (Loretta) Eggemeyer of Joliet, IL, Meldene (Donald) Gorman of Smithton, IL, Berdell (Patricia) Eggemeyer of Ellis Grove, IL, Norlan (Karlyn) Eggemeyer of Walsh, IL, JoAnn (Richard) Campbell of Superstition Mt., AZ, Karen (Elvan) Mollet of St. Charles, MO, and Peggy (Randy) Beitel of Ruma, IL; two brothers-Louie (Dorothy) Eggemeyer of Mesa, AZ and Wilbert Eggemeyer of Chester, IL; three sisters-Olinda Wagner of Chester, IL, Ruby Young of Granite City, IL, and Darlene (Andrew) Claussen of Wood River, IL; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three grandsons-Eric Lange, Ricky Eggemeyer, and Joey Eggemeyer; one great-grandson, Michael Eggemeyer; two sisters-Vera Carroll and Frieda Slack; and two brothers-Otis and Lester Eggemeyer.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Walsh, IL, with Rev. Harold Weber officiating. Burial was in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Walsh. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 24, from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, IL, and Thursday morning from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church.
