Jesse W. Chapman

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jesse W. Chapman, 90, of Centralia, passed away at 5:35 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2010 at the Centralia Fireside House in Centralia.

Jesse had worked as a laborer for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion.

He was born Feb. 8, 1920 at Tamaroa, Ill., the son of Esery and Katie Chapman.

He married Mary Irene Nowicki and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Centralia and one son - David Chapman of Centralia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Antioch Cemetery at Tamaroa with Bro. Paul Lipe officiating.

Those attending the service were asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa was in charge of arrangements.

Friends may make memorials to any Baptist church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
