Larry Bender

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Larry Bender, age 69 of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:58 a.m. in Coulterville Care Center, Coulterville, Ill.

Larry was born on April 27, 1940 in Pinckneyville, Ill. a son to William J. and Charlotte (Loos) Bender. Larry was a farmer and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Moose Lodge #930, Eagles Lodge all of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Perry County Farm Bureau. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Larry delivered meals on wheels for more than ten years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR racing, taking care of and feeding his animals. Most of all Larry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren whom he dearly loved.

Larry is survived by four children, Brian (Debbie) Bender of Pinckneyville, Ill., Brenda Bender of Carterville, Ill., Larry (Megan) Klausing of Sparta, Ill., and Kimmie (Tony) Helton of Pinckneyville, Ill.; special friend, Elda Klausing of Pinckneyville, Ill.; two brothers, William L. (Deloris) Bender and George D. (Bernice) Bender all of Pinckneyville, Ill.; six grandchildren, Emily, Bradley and Erin Bender, Korey and Micah Klausing and Gavin Helton and many dear friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Marjorie Bender and one sister in infancy.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Cindy Bean and Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and then at the church on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be given to Meals on Wheels or Coulterville Care Center.
