Nina Stockton

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Nina Stockton, 84, of Tamaroa, passed away at 10:43 a.m., Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital at Pinckneyville.

Nina was a homemaker and had been a beautician with a shop in her home. She was a member of the Du Quoin Church of Christ.

She was born April 18, 1925 at Tamaroa, Ill., the daughter of Harly B. and Grace V. (Opp) Wilks.

She married Kenneth J. Stockton on Nov. 25, 1945 at Tamaroa Christian Church and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa, five sisters-in-law - Pat Wilks of Du Quoin, Helen Feltmeyer of Greenville, Ill., Louise McKinstry of Pinckneyville, Mable Baudison of Pinckneyville, and Vicki Jones of Newburgh, Ind., one brother-in-law - Robert Stockton of St. Charles, Mo., many nieces and nephews including Janet Kirk of Du Quoin and Joe Wilks of Mt. Vernon, Ill..

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother - William "Bill" Wilks, and one sister-in-law - Marge Nevill.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. George Marshall officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial was in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.
