Retired Insurance Agent Pleads Guilty to Insurance Fraud

Raymond Linzee, 65, was an insurance agent but he forfeited his license as a result of his offense. Linzee supported applications for worker's compensation insurance with a letter containing false assertions for inducing insurers to extend coverage under false pretenses.

The false assertions resulted in lower premiums charged than the ones that would have been charged if the insurer received truthful information. They also resulted in insurance policies issued that otherwise would have been denied, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's office.
