Mary Elizabeth Loos

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Elizabeth Loos, age 73 of Oakdale, Ill., passed away on Monday, March

29, 2010 at 9:53 a.m. in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, Ill., after

a lengthly illness.

Mary was born on June 6, 1936 in Alexander County, Illinois, a daughter to

Howard and Anna (Rhode) Krug. On Sept. 24, 1956, she married Donald E. Loos

at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and he preceded her in

death on Oct. 25, 2006. Mary was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and

worked as a grocery store clerk at Minit Mart, retiring after 25 years.

Mary is survived by a son, Richard E. (Susan) Loos of Loves Park, Ill.; a

daughter, Vida (Steve) Spain of Rockford, Ill.; two brothers, Gene (Donna)

Krug of Titusville, Fla. and Karl Krug of Pinckneyville, Ill.; four sisters,

Betty Krug of Oakdale, Ill., Oma Lee Pinckneyville, Ill., Shirley (Carl)

Hagene of Oakdale, Ill. and Anna Mae Eaton of Flower Mound, Tex.; a

sister-in-law, Kim Krug of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; two grandchildren, Seth Spain

and Jacob Loos, two step-grandchildren, Gayle McMullen and Erin McMullen;

one step-great-grandchild, Mea; and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, Phillip

Krug and Billy Ray Krug.

Funeral services were held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Lively Grove,

Ill. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Dennis Voss

officiating. Interment was in Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, Pinckneyville,

Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Oakdale, Ill. on Tuesday from 5:00

p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to Oakdale Village Hall or St. Anthony Catholic

Church.
