Elks students of the month

She plans on attending John A. Logan on a Softball Scholarship; her intended major is undecided.
Her activities and achievements include: Volleyball (9,10,11,12, Co-Capt. 12); Softball (9,10,11,12, All Conf. 10 &11, MVP 11, Captain 12); Dance and Drill (9,10,11,12, Co-Capt 11 & 12); Swing Choir (12); Pep Club (9,10,11,12) Spanish Club (9,10,11,12), Drug Free Youth (9,10,11,12); Lifesavers (9,10,11,12); Environmental Club (10,11,12); National Honor Society (11, 12); Honor Roll (9,10,11,12); Drama Club (10,11,12); Perfect Attendance (9,10,11,12); Accounting Award (11); Homecoming Court (11,12, Maid of Honor 12); Prom Princess Candidate (11); Sweetheart Queen (12); Senior Survivor Contestant (12); Attended Girls State at EIU Summer of '09; Member of American Legion Jr. Aux. (11,12); and Member of Children of American Revolution (12).
Megan enjoys playing softball, swimming, and hanging out with friends.
Jeff Beers is the son of Jim and Vicky Beers, and they reside in Chester.
He came to Chester High School from Chester Grade School, and plans on attending either SIUC or NIU and majoring in Music.
His activities and achievements include: Band, Jazz Band, Swing Choir, Drug Free Youth, Project Graduation Steering Committee, Homecoming King, Best of Room at Solo and Ensemble Contest, accepted at SIUC and NIU Schools of Music and Honor Band.
Jeff enjoys playing music with his friends, art, and occasional reading.
