The Tribe (8-3, 2-0) short-gamed Chester 17-2 at the Ballpark at DHS as hurlers Brandon George and Sam Kuhnert combined on a four-hitter.

George (2-0) struck out eight Chester hitters and walked just one, giving only a pair hits before Kuhnert pitched the final frame.
J.C. Davis topped Du Quoin's offense with three hits and five RBI.
George, Drew Bennett and Kegan Robbins all put together two-hit days with Bennett, Trent Bigham and Andrew Riley all knocking in two runs.
Robbins had three RBI with Sam Gossett, Seth Baxter and Kyle Kelley all adding run-scoring hits.
"Brandon gave us 4 four really strong innings. It is pretty tough to throw in the windy conditions. I thought he looked pretty good, " Du Quoin coach Tim Craft said.
"Our kids are really taking good swings at the plate. The last few games we have really made solid contact and have really made other teams work to get us out."
Du Quoin (4-1) also won the junior varsity game, routing Chester in five innings.
