U of I Extension reaches out to farmers
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ University of Illinois Extension specialists in crop sciences will launch the first issue of The Bulletin on Thursday. As a new crop year gets under way with temperatures climbing above 60 degrees, farmers, industry representatives, and media can find the latest Extension news in this publication.
"Our goal for The Bulletin is to provide information that will be useful for making crop and pest management decisions," said Vince Davis, U of I Extension soybean specialist and editor of The Bulletin. "We also encourage feedback from our readers. We are interested in what is happening in your fields or your thoughts on our articles."
For the first time ever, The Bulletin will be available as an online publication only. Davis said they are no longer capable of printing and mailing paper copies. However, many readers prefer viewing it online and printing out articles of interest.
The Bulletin will consist of 25 issues in 2010, beginning Thursday. Issue 2 will be available April 8 and issue 3 on April 22. Following this, it will be published weekly until August 12.
