Luanne Williams
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Luanne Williams, age 73 of Pinckneyville, Ill., went peacefully in her sleep to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 3, 2010 in her home.
Luanne was born on Aug. 3, 1936 in Du Quoin, Ill., a daughter to David R. and Zella M. (Minton) Pruett. Luanne was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and a 1953 graduate of Pinckneyville High School. She retired from the Perry County Highway Department after 23 years where she worked as an office manager and bookkeeper. Luanne loved playing cards, listening to music and cooking for her family, especially Christmas cookies. She enjoyed friendship, fellowship and a good glass of wine, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Luanne is survived by three children, Richard Williams of Eugene, Ore., Amy (Tony) Ortiz and Anne (Jeff) Sronce all of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a brother, David (Gretta) Pruett formerly of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a sister, Georgia (John) Uffelman of Murphysboro Ill.; three grandchildren, Eli Shaw and Audie and Sidney Sronce; her faithful four-legged companion, Charlie and many dear friends, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Tommy Pruett Williams.
Funeral services were held at the First United Presbyterian Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Charles Walden officiating. Interment was in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and the at the church on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
