Ruble Pierce

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ruble Pierce, 94, of Marion, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 4:38 a.m. at Parkway Manor in Marion, Illinois.

Ruble was born Oct. 19, 1915 in Lowes, Kentucky the daughter of William E. and Jewell (Burchard) Barriger. She married James Lowe on Dec. 28, 1935 in Metropolis and he preceded her in death, she later married Jackson Pierce in Corinth, Mississippi on Sept. 20, 1950 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1983.

She was a member of the Marion Church of Christ and had worked at the Du Quoin State Bank.

Survivors include her brother - Cloyd P. Barriger and wife Margaret of Paducah, Kentucky; niece - Jennie Doane and husband Michael of Lexington, Kentucky; niece - Lisa Dreher and husband Scott of Nashville, Tennessee; great niece - Stacey Markahn; great nephew - Justin Dreher and great great nephews - Dominick and Devon Markahn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands - James Lowe and Jackson Pierce

Funeral services were Sunday, April 4, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion, Illinoiswith Bill Brandstatter officiating. Burial followed in Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser. Visitation was Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
