Sprite refreshes local schools through new nationwide sweepstakes

You've heard of a home makeover and a wardrobe makeover. But have you heard of a playground makeover? Through the Sprite® Refresh Your School Playground Sweepstakes, K-12 schools throughout the United States that are registered in the My Coke Rewards for Schools could win a $25,000 playground makeover. Additionally, 10 schools will win a second place prize of 25,000 My Coke Rewards® bonus points that can be used towards athletic equipment, books, classroom supplies and more. Community members can accumulate points for their local schools by entering the code found on any of their 13 favorite Coca-Cola products at www.mycokerewards.com. "The Sprite Refresh Your School Playground Sweepstakes is an easy and simple way for schools to have the chance to win a playground make-over," said Julie Bowerman, group director for digital platforms, Coca-Cola North America. "We hope that the playground will not only be a great addition for the winning school but also be a place where can be physically active and have fun."
Registered schools that receive donated My Coke Rewards points between now and April 30, 2010, will be eligible to win a $25,000 playground makeover made of recycled materials. For every 10 My Coke Rewards points donated, the selected school will earn one sweepstakes entry to the Sprite Refresh Your School Playground Sweepstakes. Sprite will work with the winning school to remove all old equipment, and will design, ship and install the new playground during the summer of 2010 in preparation for the new school year. Schools that are currently not registered in the My Coke Rewards for Schools program can register during this period to earn entries towards the Sprite Refresh Your Playground Sweepstakes.
