Debra Kay Kania

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Debra Kay Kania, 55, of Gardner, Kans., formerly of Tamaroa, passed away at 1:20 p.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kans.

Debra had worked for 13 years as a supervisor for Quest Diagnostic in Lenexa, Kans. She was a member of the Unity Fellowship Church at Gardner.

She was born Nov. 1, 1954 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Robert Gene and Beryl V. (Corgan) Lynch.

She is survived by her parents - Robert and Beryl Lynch of Tamaroa, life partner- Linda Kathryn Herzberg of Gardner, Kans., son- Andrew Joseph Kania and wife Tommi Ann of O&#39;Fallon, Mo., three grandchildren- Steven, R.J. and Cheyanne, two sisters- Sandy Phillips and husband Jim of Pinckneyville, and Amy Nehrkorn and husband Jay of Tamaroa, three brothers- Mike Lynch and wife Gena of Tamaroa, Orville Lynch and wife Jane of Tamaroa and Timothy Lynch and wife Darla of Dowell, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Greg Alvis officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial was in the Antioch Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Lupus Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
