Pauline C. Spiller
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pauline C. Spiller, 92, of Dowell, passed away at 6:40 p.m., Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Oak Grove Rehab and Care Center in Carbondale.
Pauline was a homemaker. She had worked at the ordnance plant during the war. Pauline was of the protestant faith.
She was born Nov. 21, 1917 at Hallidayboro, Ill., the daughter of Lester and Emma (Teffertiller) VanZandt.
Pauline married John Wesley Spiller on Oct. 12, 1932 at Hallidayboro, Ill. and he passed away Oct, 7, 1998.
She is survived by son- John Richard Spiller and wife Florence of Elkville, daughter- Janet Hamai and husband Ken of Florissant, Mo., six grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers- James and Raymond VanZandt.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Merle Macke officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial was in the Hallidayboro Cemetery at Hallidayboro.
