Albert Walker Cashion

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Albert Walker Cashion, age 99, of Auxvasse, Mo., formerly of Elkville, Ill., passed away on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 6:05 p.m. in Audrain Medical Center, Mexico, Mo.

Albert was born on July 12, 1910 in St. Louis, Mo., a son to Henry and Florence (York) Cashion. On Sept. 6, 1939, he married Mary Irene Barnes in St. Louis, Mo. and she preceded him in death on March 23, 2002. He worked for Nor Gas in Murphysboro, Ill. as a serviceman for many years until his retirement. Albert enjoyed 63 wonderful years of marriage to his wife Irene. He loved gardening, fishing and his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Albert is survived by two sons, Jerry (Connie) Cashion of Holts Summit, Mo., and David (Tammy) Cashion of Elkville, Ill.; a daughter, Donna (Jim) Trisler of Auxvasse, Mo.; a sister, Hazel Cobin Antonini of Elkville, Ill.; 23 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren and many dear nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son, Randy Cashion; a daughter, Alberta Cashion, one grandson John Trisler, two great-grandchildren, Jacob James Heilton and Alexis Shea Elsworth, a brother, Everett Cashion; six sisters, Wanda Pedigo, Daisy Bandy, Ethel Brown Dailey, Tillie Klingler, June Gooden, and Deloris Scott.

Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Paul Burbanks officiating. Interment was in Hallidayboro Cemetery, Hallidayboro, Ill.

Friends called on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Memory of his son, Randy Cashion and mother Florence York Cashion.
