Sparta girls compete at Nashville

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sparta&#39;s girls track team was one of many area teams that participated in last Friday&#39;s Nashville Girls Invitational. The Lady Bulldogs scored 34 points and finished in eighth place out of 17 teams. Benton won the competition with 89 points.

Aleigh Eggemeyer brought home points in both the 3200 meter run with a second place finish and a time of 12:21.5 and the 1600 meter run with a third place finish and a time of 5:41.79. Other top three finishes from Sparta were a second in the triple jump by Jackie Robinson with a distance of 32&#39; 7.5" and a third in the pole vault by Rachel Peck with a mark of 9&#39; 0".
