Wednesday's prep baseball: Tribe blanks BDC leader
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Trent Bigham scattered four hits and struck out six Wednesday afternoon, leading Du Quoin High School's baseball team to its 18th win of 2010.
The Indians blanked Black Diamond Conference leader Zeigler-Royalton/Christopher 10-0 in a five inning contest and are now 18-9 overall.
Friday at 4:30, the Tribe visits Marissa-Coulterville.
"It was a good game all around for us today," DHS coach Tim Craft said. "We saw a side-armer on the mound and I thought we did a good job of staying in and hitting the ball the entire game."
Bigham, J.C. Davis and Sam Gossett all enjoyed two-hit games with Gossett knocking in two runs.
Tyler Shelton, Brandon George, Jake Stanhouse and Seth Baxter also managed hits.
Baxter drove in two runs.
Bigham, 6-1, went the distance and walked four.
