Day of Prayer Celebrated Thursday

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[<span style="font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 115%;">Approximately 60 Du Quoin-area residents attended a National Day of Prayer observance at noon in Keyes City Park on Thursday. Those attending formed a prayer chain along the south side of the Veterans Plaza in the middle of the park. Shirley Holmes and Shirley Benton (pictured) offer their own prayers during the 15-minute service. Prayers were said for our nation and our families. The service ended with the playing of "God Bless America." </span>
