Eileen M. Yeager

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Eileen M. Yeager, age 94, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 6:55 p.m. in Fairview Nursing Center, Du Quoin, Ill.

Eileen was born on Jan. 21, 1916 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a daughter to Ben and Ida (Linze) Grohman. On Oct. 10, 1936, she married Robert P. Yeager at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1991. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill., where she taught Sunday school for over 40 years and was also a member of the Women's Guild. She worked as a homemaker, enjoyed sewing and love spending time with her family, especially playing with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Ray (Barbara) Yeager of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a daughter, Karen (Jack) Rennison of Pinckneyville, Ill.; two sisters, Adele Gilley of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Benaleen (Rev. Herb) Schafale of Freeburg, Ill.; six grandchildren, Robert (Tena) Rennison of Du Quoin, Ill., Kathy (Jeff) Davis of Pinckneyville, Ill., Matthew (Kristi) Rennison of Pinckneyville, Ill., Debbie (Brad) McClure of South Augusta, S.C., Paula Yeager of Pinckneyville, and Rick (Jennifer) Yeager of Pinckneyville, Ill., and 14 great-grandchildren, Robert II, Kristen, Scott, Jessica, Jonathan, Kelsy, Jarred, Christina, Sarah, Matthew, Luke, Hannah, Faith, Gracelyn (due in 12 days).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Ruth Groskretz; and three brothers, Raymond Grohman, Eugene Grohman and Kenneth Grohman.

Funeral services were held at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Cindy Bean and Reverend Herb Schafale officiating. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
