Norbert C. Roznowski
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Norbert C. "Mike" Roznowski, 92, of Du Quoin, passed away at 7:41 a.m., Monday, May 3, 2010 at the Fairview Nursing Center at Du Quoin.
Mike had worked as a trouble shooter on hydrolic machinery. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was born June 6, 1917 at Du Quoin, Ill., the son of Michael and Marie (Zielinski) Roznowski. He married Wilhelmina Mary "Minnie" Harsy on June 1, 1946 at Hot Springs, Ark. and she preceded him in death on April 4, 2003.
He is survived by one sister - Delores Zumpano of Rocklin, Calif., several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three brothers - Jerome Roznowski, Frank Roznowski, and Fr. Thomas Roznowski.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Du Quoin with Fr. James VanOss officiating.
Friends called from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Thursday.
Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Military graveside rites were conducted by the Du Quoin American Legion and V.F.W.
Friends may make memorials to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
