Randolph County Relay For Life this Friday and Saturday
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Randolph County Relay For Life Committee has been working hard all year to bring this annual event to raise awareness of the variety of services that the American Cancer Society offers year round as well as raise funds to offer those services to Randolph County cancer victims.
The 2010 Committee members are: April Easton, Chair, Barb Miskle, Jan Weiner, Patty Singer, Eunice Singer, Jill Kueker, Jen Falkenhein, Brenda Casten, Troy Kueker, Claudia Kerens, Yvonne Eater; Deb Graves will be moving up to Event Chair for 2011.
As with events like Relay, local businesses and people also were invaluable in their assistance and they deserve a "Special Thanks;" they are Sparta Airport Authority, Zach Easton, Charley Kelly, Nathan Lee, and Mayor Rob Link. Business sponsors include Red Bud Regional Hospital, Link Truck Service, Rozier's Country Market, Egyptian Telephone Cooperative.
The 2010 Relay teams are Drew's Daisies, Family Affair, Granny's Pride, Hodge Lodge, LKOC Relay Team, Memorial Hospital of Chester, Red Bud Hospitality and Regional Hospital, Rocks and Little Rocks of Rocher, Sparkling Spartils, Sparta Community Hospital Employees, Sparta Lincoln Kids 4A Cure, T-Bones Biggest Losers, Tea, Firestone, Wal-Mart Sparta, Smile for a Cure. People who are not on a team are more than welcome to come out and join us at the Relay; remember, this year is about Celebrating Birthdays.
