Donald Ray Hopp

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Donald Ray Hopp, age 58, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2010 in his home.

Donald was born on May 25, 1951 in Du Quoin, Ill., a son to Harold and Velma (Bigham) Hopp, Sr. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Pinckneyville, Ill., a veteran of the United States Army, and had worked in the warehouse at Walgreens, Mt. Vernon, Ill. Donald was a member of American Legion Post #2504, Pinckneyville, Ill., enjoyed collecting coins, was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed Dallas Cowboys football.

Donald is survived by his brothers and sister, Terry Hopp, of Pinckneyville, Ill., Harold Hopp, Jr. of Du Quoin, Ill., Kathy (Owen) Oliger of Belle Rive, Ill. and Joel (Eva) Hopp of Pinckneyville, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Leah Hopp, Chelsea (Terry) Wells, Jason Hougland, Amber (Paul) Hopp-Schmidt, Mason Hopp, Melissa Dye, Chad (Julie) Griffin and Patrick (Amanda) Oliger and several great nieces and great nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Cindy Bean officiating. Interment was in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
