Mary Frances Leonard Wise

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary Frances Leonard Wise, 79, of Tamaroa, was called home to her maker at 4:15 p.m., Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, Ill.

Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sunfield Baptist Church in Sunfield.

She was born Oct. 20, 1930 at Ripley, Tenn., the daughter of Freeman and Maude (Weaver) Ramey.

She was raised in southeast Missouri with one brother and two sisters. She married and moved to East St. Louis. Most of her married life, she had been a resident of rural Tamaroa.

She married Charles Junior Leonard on Dec. 23, 1944 at Missouri and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1987. She then married Billie Wise on Sept. 23, 1989 at Sunfield Baptist Church in Sunfield, Ill. and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa, three children - Charles Leonard and wife Cindy of Pinckneyville, Jerry Leonard and wife Johnie Marie of Tamaroa, and Dianna Ward of Atlanta, Ga., one brother - Richard Ramey of Blythesville, Ark., nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one daughter - Frances Kay Springer, and two sisters - Irene Townley and Annaloise Neal.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 24, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Pastor Scott Sharp officiating.

Friends may called from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial was in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Friends may make memorials to the American Red Cross and will be accepted at the funeral home.
