Mildred Anna Maple
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mildred Anna Maple, 86, of Du Quoin, passed away at 7:31 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Mildred was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin and a member of the Catholic Daughters.
She was born January 5, 1924 at Du Quoin, Ill. the daughter of Dewey E. and Ida Katherine (Harsy) Smith.
Mildred married Harry T. Maple on May 31, 1943 at Du Quoin, Ill. and he passed away May 24, 1993.
She is survived by two daughters- Diana J. Nease of Harrisburg, Cindy M. Welton of Chester, son- Thomas J. Maple of Du Quoin, half brother- James E. Smith of Shawsville, Va., nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son- Thomas Edward Maple, brother- Charles E. Smith, sister- Hilda Loucks and one great grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin with Fr. James Van Oss officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. A Prayer Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Masses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
