John J. Caron, 58

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[John J. Caron, 58, of Chester, IL, died May 29, 2010, in Jersey County, IL.

The son of Leo G. and Magdalen E. (Jany) Caron, he was born August 16, 1951, in Springfield, IL.

On May 6, 1976, he married Cherie A. Ledbetter, in Ellis Grove, IL, and she preceded him in death in 1997.

John had worked as a Security Therapy Aid at Chester Mental Health. He was a member of the V.F.W. #3553 in Chester, A.B.A.T.E. and A.F.S.C.M.E. #424, and an Army Veteran.

Survivors include a special friend, Sherrie Merz of Shiloh, IL; aunts and uncles-Charles & Bertha Caron of Evansville, IL, Frances Caron, Mary Caron, and Verna Caron, all of Chester, IL; numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, Jason R. Caron; and several members of the Caron & Jany families.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Chester, IL, with Father Eugene Wojcik officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m.-10:45 a.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, IL.

Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic School or A.B.A.T.E.
