Red Dot approved for demolition of houses
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[At the regularly scheduled Chester City Council meeting held Monday, June 21 the council approved the proposal of Red Dot Construction & Equipment Rentals, Inc. for demolition of houses located at 796 State Street in the amount of $4,560 and a house located at 325 Maple Lane in the amount of $2,930. The council also approved Red Dot's bid for $57,630 for an extension of the Cohen walk/exercise trail.
In other council news:
Tara Biethman was approved by the council as a pool worker retroactive to June 7.
A lease agreement for the park house was approved between Josh Straight and the city effective July 1.
The council ratified the purchase of a new gas meter for Chester High School in the amount of $35,780.
The council discussed the on-call policy for the gas department.
A discussion was held for the fiscal year 2011 and recommendations in regard to income for the general fund. A special meeting was scheduled for Saturday, June 26, 2010 regarding the matter.
The next regular city council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 6 at 7:00 p.m. at city hall in the council chambers.
