Swimming: Weather postpones big SISL meet

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lightning and threatening weather in the Perry County area early Thursday evening forced the postponement of the Southern Illinois Swim League (SISL) dual meet between Du Quoin's Swinming Indians and the Marion Marlins at the Municipal Pool.

The meet, which will decided the SISL's regular season title, has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 6:30.

Du Quoin is still scheduled to compete in the Marion Invitational-a swim your own age event-Saturday.

On July 31, Du Quoin's Municipal Pool and the Swimming Indians will host the SISL team championship meet.

The day-long affair was last held in Du Quoin following the 2002 regular season

Du Quoin is enjoying its best season-ever as a team and is chasing its first SISL team title.

The Swimming Indians have a current dual record of 6-0.
