Virginia Natho, 72
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Virginia R. Natho, 72, of Chester, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri. After two years of medical problems, she is now with her Savior and Lord.
She was born to the late Karl R. and Dorothy (nee Herschbach) Natho on August 26, 1937 in Wink, Texas. She moved to Chester when she was four years old.
She was never married.
She graduated from Chester High School in 1955 and then attended Lindenwood College receiving a BS degree in Chemistry. Here she enjoyed playing her trumpet, riding horseback, opera and the poetry society.
She worked thirty years in the medical field beginning at Jewish Hospital in the 1960's with Dr. Samuel Frankel. She was an expert on the Auto Analyzer and wrote a paper for the Laboratory Digest. She went with Dr. Frankel to start Midwest Medical labs as a lab manager. In 1981, Midwest Lab was bought by International Clinical Labs and Virginia stayed to become Logistics Manager. Finally, in 1988 she and Dr. Frankel began working for Metro Reference Labs which later changed its name to Quest Diagnostics. She retired in 1996 and returned to Chester.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, Illinois and a member of the Monday Morning Bible Study. She was also a board member of the Chester Public Library.
She is survived by her sister Dorothy Keagle and her husband Pryce of Joliet, IL, a nephew Lt. Col. John Keagle and his wife Lerah and their three daughters - Jill, Molly and Paige of Columbus Air Force Base, MS, and a niece Kimber Keagle Saylor and her husband Gerrit of Seattle, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, Illinois with Rev. Mark Willig officiating. Interment: St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Chester, Illinois. Visitation: Tuesday - 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday - 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois, and Wednesday - 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church.
Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran School New Building Fund or the Chester Public Library.
