What's Up at St. Mark's?

St. Mark's first graders and their teacher appeared in a recent episode of WSIU InFocus. While they visited Charter Oak School in May, a crew was filming and interviewing for the program. There were three subjects on the program, and Charter Oak School was the second. The program aired Friday, July 23, and may be viewed online at www.wsiu.org under the InFocus program, episode 529.

Last Wednesday, July 28, the new 1.5 kw Solar PV System was scheduled to be installed. We received this through the Illinois Clean Energy Grant and it will be used as an educational resource. Watch for more information about this.

Several other changes that have occurred include the installation of a Promethean Board in the 2nd grade classroom thanks to a technology grant and the painting of the outside of the school.

Boys' baseball practice has begun. Anyone who needs more information should contact Coach Zobel.

Remember PreK-8 registration on Thursday, August 5, from 1:00-8:00 p.m. in St. Mark's cafeteria.
