Du Quoin Council Agenda for Aug. 23

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The Du Quoin City Council meets at 6 p.m. tonight with a relatively short agenda before it.

The agenda includes possible adoption of a new collective bargaining agreement with police and other employees and a discussion of maintenance issues at Du Quoin City Lake.

The agenda follows:

Approve the roadblock application submitted by the Du Quoin Knights of Columbus for Friday, September 17, 2010.

Resolution 2010-R08-03: A resolution authorizing the City to participate in the Illinois Department of Transportation Enhancement Program.

Accept the resignation of long time Library Board member and public servant Mary Haines

City Lake Representative Kurt Harris to address maintenance issue related to the Lake area.
