Pat Hollis

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Pat Hollis, 77, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:20 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Pat graduated from the DePaul School of Nursing in St. Louis, Mo. She had worked as a registered nurse at Southern Illinois University for 28 years.

She was born Aug. 10, 1933 at West Frankfort, Ill., the daughter of Bill and Lela (Wall) Dotson.

She married John L. Hollis on June 29, 1953 at Piggott, Ark. and he passed away Dec. 7, 2009.

She is survived by two daughters- Debra (Ken) Majewski of Tamaroa and Jean Ann (Bill) Mathis of Du Quoin, grandchildren- Autumn (Josh) Konkel, Cody (Tish) Majewski, Becky Majewski, Garrett Mathis and Quinton Mathis, great grandchildren- Hazel Konkel, Ruby Konkel and Scarlet Konkel, sister- Mildred Huite of West Frankfort, sisters-in-law- Margaret Handy and Florence Saylor, both of Du Quoin, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings- Bill Dotson, Joseph Dotson, Fred Dotson, Donnie Dotson, Marie Summers and Esta Lee Dotson, granddaughter- Angel Lynn Majewski, brothers-in-law- Dean Huite and Jerry Hollis, nephews- Jim Summers and Dickie Summers.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Paul Hicks officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the St. Ann Catholic School in Nashville and will be accepted at the funeral home.
