Raymond Roy Rosenberger
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Raymond Roy Rosenberger, 87, of Ava, passed away at 9:04 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at Memorial Hospital Carbondale in Carbondale, Ill.
Raymond was born July 31, 1923 in Ava, Illinois the son of William Peter Rosenberger and Anna (Bettag) Rosenberger. Raymond married Patricia M. Gancacik on June 24, 1950 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Du Quoin, Ill.. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2002. Raymond was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Ava.
Raymond is survived by one sister, Rosalen Pugh of Peoria, Ill.; three nieces and one nephew, Mary Ann Hunleth of St. Louis, Mo., June Gotta of Charolette, N.C., Norma Pugh of Peoria, Ill. and Dale Alstat of Ava, Ill.; and the nicest lady friend in the world, Margaret Rosenberger of Vergennes.
Raymond was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Herman & Albert Rosenberger; two sisters, Agnes Schimpf and Florence Alstat; two nephews: David Pugh and Charles Schimpf.
Everyone was asked to meet at the cemetery for Graveside services held Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bruno's Catholic Cemetery in Pinckneyville. Father Leo J. Hayes officiated. Burial was at St. Bruno's Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Funeral was under auspicies of Wilson's Funeral Home, Ava.
Memorials may be made to Masses or St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Ava, Ill.
