Steeleville School Board makes personnel decisions
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[One resignation and several hirings were dealt with at the last Steeleville school board meeting. The Board accepted the resignation of art teacher Christie Fifer. She will be replaced by Yvonne Balleto, who will work part-time as art teacher and part-time as a teacher's aide. Alice Decker was hired as Spanish teacher/teacher's aide, Gayle North was hired as a part-time guidance counselor and Mary Polley was hired as a Title 1 aide.
Several hirings and assignments for sports and activities were also made. Darryl Winkelman was hired as girls golf coach, Jodi Hornberger will be an assistant volleyball coach, Mary Polley will be the junior high cheerleading coach, Julie Pyatt and Yvonne Balleto will serve as student activity board sponsors, Balleto will be the art society sponsor and Pyatt will be a senior class sponsor.
Linda Pickering, Inez Siene, David Crowder and Myra Siemers were all hired as aides and Erin Hood and Corey Bockhorn were approved as volunteer softball coaches. Neal Miller will be the district maintenance supervisor.
The formation of two clubs was approved by the Board. The Braves club is for junior high students and an organization for future teachers is being formed at the high school
