Vivian Milam Rose
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Vivian Milam Rose, 91, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:40 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Vivian was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Du Quoin and the Euzelian Sunday School Class. She was a former member of the PEO for several years. Vivian was a graduate of the Washington University and the Miss Hickeys Secretarial School, both in St. Louis, MO.
She was born at Mist, Ark. on Jan. 12, 1919, the daughter of Fred S. and Nelle (Graves) Milam.
She married Clarence Stephen Rose Jr. on Oct. 10, 1941 at Jefferson City, Mo. and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2005.
She is survived by a daughter- Allison Sadler and husband David Stephen of Du Quoin, two grandchildren- Stephanie Marie Sadler of Du Quoin and Adam David Sadler of Champaign, Ill., and sister- Martha Milam Jones of Kirkwood, Mo..
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Stephanie Rose, and sister- Jean Milam Parman.
Funeral services were at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends called from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial was in the West Hampton Memorial Park at Richmond, Va.
Friends may make memorials to the Marshall Browning Hospital Estates or the Du Quoin Library and will be accepted at the funeral home.
