PCHS, Elverado fall in volleyball

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ The Benton Rangerettes were too much for Pinckneyville on Tuesday night, topping the Lady Panthers in volleyball action 25-23 and 25-13 at Rich Herrin Gymnasium in Benton.

Maddy Keith had 7 kills in the losing effort for PCHS, Taylor Cicardi had 6 kills, Haley Simpson added 4. Sara Malanowski chipped in 16 assists.

Pinckneyville plays at home on Thursday night against West Frankfort (7:30 p.m.).

CHESTER SQUEAKS BY ELVERADO

Elverado girls volleyball fell to 0-3 on the season, falling to Chester on Tuesday 25-18, 23-25, 25-16.

Adrienne Hardwig was 11-for-12 serving for the Lady Falcons with 8 points, 3 kills and 6 digs. Tiffany Yearian was also 11-for-12 serving, adding 6 points, 4 blocks, 8 kills and 6 digs.

Chelsea Cochran finished with 30 assists in the contest for Elverado.
