DMS baseball triumphant over Junior Panthers

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ DuQuoin Middle School Baseball had to start this game at the point it was rained out last week. They wasted no time in letting Pinckneyville know that they came to play ball! DuQuoin won the game 18-2 in five innings. Jacob Valier went the distance on the mound for DuQuoin. He allowed two runs (one earned), two hits, had 5 strikeouts and no walks. Coach Tim Craft "thought that Valier did a good job for us on the mound today."

DuQuoin totaled nine hits for the game shortened by the ten run rule.

Coach Craft was able to play several of his non-starters today. Craft said "the kids coming in off the bench did a good job hitting the ball today." He was pleased with DuQuoin&#39;s efforts.

Du Quion&#39;s hitting was led by Jacob Valier 3-4; Braden Lee 1-1, RBI; Noah Campbell 1-1, 3 RBI; Logan Petalus 1-1, RBI; Hunter Behm 1-1; Dalton Day 1-1, RBI; Trace Klein 1-1, RBI.

On the Pinckneyville side, Hicks and Louis were both 1-2. DuQuoin&#39;s record is 8-2 overall and 6-1 in the Conference. DuQuoin has a home game against Murphysboro on Thursday. (4:00)
