Naomi Craig

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Naomi "Gene" Craig, 79, of Elkville, passed away at 1:50 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010 at her residence.

Gene was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin.

She was born Dec. 25, 1930 at Marion, Ill., the daughter of George C. and Flossie (Borum) Almaroad.

She married Allen L. "Shot" Craig on July 24, 1949 at DeSoto, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 2006.

She is survived by one daughter - Joyce Hickman and husband Larry of Elkville, one granddaughter - Amanda Joy Hickman of Herrin, and one brother - Robert Almaroad of Marion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one granddaughter - Camille Hickman, and one brother - George E. Almaroad.

Graveside services were at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville with Bro. Jerry Aken, Bro. Gary Pruitt, and Bro. Ron Kreid officiating.

Friends called from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.

Burial was in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.

Friends may make memorials to the Camille Hickman Library Fund at the Elkville Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.

Those attending the service were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
