GOLF: PCHS girls win again, DHS boys fall to Harrisburg
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Heather McDaniel continued a fine 2010 season by shooting a 38 to lead Pinckneyville to a comfortable 18-stroke victory over Sparta and Centralia on Tuesday. McDaniel earned the medal a day after earning co-medalist honors with Sparta's Kendra Kessler, who finished second individually yesterday afternoon.
Kelsey Cicardi's 44 was third best on the day, and Olivia Mathis (47) and Alexis Anderson (55) completed the Lady Panthers' score of 184. Sparta was second with 202 strokes, Centralia trailed with 205.
Also taking part for Pinckeyville were Brooke Heisner (58) and Claire Wittenauer (59).
The PCHS girls are at Anna-Jonesboro on Wednesday.
<u>DUQUOIN BOYS DEFEATED BY HARRISBURG:</u> The DuQuoin High School golf team traveled to Harrisburg on Tuesday to Shawnee Hills Golf Course for a match with Harrisburg. Harrisburg won the team competition with a score of 168. DuQuoin had a score of 174. Individual scores for DuQuoin were: Jacob Stanhouse 41, Jacob Fisher 43, Braden Woodside 46, Howard Kelly 50, Nolan Graham 44, and Blair Hester 55.
Coach Gary Brock thought "the kids did a great job. They really have improved. We are looking forward to the conference and regional."
