VOLLEYBALL: Nashville too much for Lady Panthers
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Pinckneyville had early leads in both games, but it was Nashville coming away with a 25-13, 25-19 victory over the Lady Panthers on Thursday night at Thomas Gymnasium.
Jenny Moeller and Kourtney Heggemeier each had seven kills for the Hornettes, as they improved to 14-2 overall on the season, 3-0 in Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference play. Breanne Pelker recorded three blocks for Nashville.
Maddy Keith had 5 kills to lead Pinckneyville, Haleigh Hagood and Haley Simpson each finished with 4. Sara Malanowski had 9 assists.
The Lady Panthers are at home again on Monday against Herrin (7:30 p.m.).
<u>LADY FALCONS FALL AT ELDORADO:</u> Elverado varsity volleyball continues to search for their first victory, dropping last night's road contest against Eldorado 25-15, 25-10.
Tiffany Yearian's 3 kills led the Lady Falcons. Erica Berner had 5 digs, Kelsi Teague 4. Chelsea Cochran had the most assists for Elverado with 19 on the night.
In the junior-varisty contest, Elverado squeaked out a close middle game 28-26, but ultimate came out on the losing end to fall to 7-4 on the season.
