VOLLEYBALL: Lady Indians second at Superman Slam
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ The Du Quoin Lady Indians volleyball squad came away with a second place finish over the weekend at the Massac County Superman Slam, losing to host Massac County in the finals of the tournament.
Massac won the first game from Du Quoin 25-16, but the Lady Indians fought back for a strong 25-14 win in game two before losing the tiebreaker 15-9.
Paducah Tilghman was third in the event while Eldorado won the silver division, Reidland (Ky.) the bronze division.
Kelsey Toler, Rebekah Maddox and Megi Jones represented the Lady Indians on the Superman Slam's all-tournament team.
Rounding out the team were Kristina Henley (MVP), Karsen Smith and McKenzie Dorris from Massac County, Alexis and Aly Taylor from Paducah Tilghman, and Emily Cunningham from Eldorado.
The Lady Indians return to action on Monday as they travel to Murphysboro to face the Lady Red Devils.
